I miss new wave and movies about losing...

It's around 8 pm, and I'm pretty sure my night is over, entertainment-wise, so I figured I'd come and write. Yesterday I wasn't really sure what I was going to end up doing, and then Nick asked me to go to the Romper Room Show with him. I figured I may as well, seeing as Tracey didn't make solid plans (figures; it wasn't important to her). Nick picked me up and we got to the show an hour early, so we decided to go to his house for awhile and then hit Timmy Ho's. He gave me one of his band's cd's (Last To Leave), and then he bought me a cranberry orange muffin at the Ho's. Those muffins are pretty prime, but $1.75??? Come on, now. The show turn-out was surprising. The Romper Room is actually a really cool venue. The first and last bands were both decent, radio-rock type stuff. The second band, The Lady Esther, rocked my socks. I had never seen them before, only heard rumours. They had tons of energy, and I just stood there and grinned. I met a few people there, and got further acquainted with old friends. Brent, who used to be in Jason's band, was really cool. We got along quite well; gravel-fights and toque-biting were the highlights of the night, ha ha. I also, by chance, met Liam, who is a guy that Jason has jammed with. We talked for a bit; seems like a really nice guy. Oh, a couple of Moffatts showed up to watch and reminisce, I suppose. Remember the Moffatts? Those of you gouging your eyes with spoons evidently do... Also, I talked to Ryan Steele for the first time; a conversation sparked by his Moneen sweatshirt. He's very fun. The show went pretty late; it was 12:30 when we left to drive home. When I got into the house, I realized I had left with Nick's Coheed and Cambria cd instead of Last To Leave. Oops. Not complaining though, Coheed's rad.
Anywho, today I hung out with Catherine. We drove to Nick's to return his cd and get mine back. Then we cruised around for a bit and ended up back at Rine's house watching a movie. She drove me home at 5, and I had dinner, blah blah blah. Now I have nothing to do. It's early. I'm bored.
